Mona was born in Bethesda, Maryland and spent her early years living on Naval Bases across the country as both of her parents were Naval officers. After her father's retirement from the Navy the family moved to Ashland, Kentucky, the childhood home of her dad.
She pursued higher education at Morehead State University, where she earned a BA in Radio/TV Communications and Public Relations with a Minor in Theatre Arts. Following college, Mona served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army as a Russian Linguist and Interrogator, stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado, with the esteemed 104th MI Battalion.
After her military service, Mona returned to her roots in Kentucky in 1997 where she embarked on new path in youth ministry and entrepreneurship. Combing her diverse background and strong foundation of communication she found a passion and genuine desire for motivating and helping others. This has been her guiding mantra for all her professional and personal endeavors.
Mona now lives in Lexington, KY and is the proud mom to her two boys, Zach and Silas, and Twinkle, a spicy Chihuahua mix, who was their first foster dog fail.
She loves to spend time with her kids, camp, travel, hike and explore the Red River Gorge, and volunteer; also enjoys fostering animals and hunting for hidden treasures at local thrift stores.
